Racial Profiling

Numerous articles have been written up about the incident of which the following photographs describe. It is my wish to refrain from adding to the cacophony... only in as much to say that what happened is simply wrong and the system that created such a situation in inherently flawed and needs urgent attention from both the powers that be as well as my fellow citizens lest more lives come so close to personal ruin.

The photographs that follow are of the response to an injustice that was inflicted upon two people. They are my love song to those with the courage to stand up for the better angels of our nature; to those willing to put their own selves on the line; and to those braver than I.

Hurricane Irene Recovery Photos

Bethel

More Photos on the Way

As many of you who know me can guess... I've been quite busy lately. Many photos to come of both the damage of Hurricane Irene as well as some images from a encounter with State Police and Border Patrol regarding racial profiling and "anti-bias" policing. Stay tuned folks.

Hurricane Irene

As I'm sure most of you are aware, much of the east coast of the United States was battered by hurricane Irene last week. I certainly have more photographs to come from this but I figured that those few of you who follow this blog would like at least one preliminary image from some of the locations that were hit (in this case by severe flooding).

I'd also like to give a bit of a shout-out to the McBride and Smith families out there who were so generous in giving me their permission to photograph inside their homes. I hope y'all are holding up reasonably well given the circumstances. I'll probably be seeing you once again in the relatively near future.

Best,
Dylan
